If you are not sure if you are a heavy drinker, make a plan to visit a doctor on the day you quit OR visit an outpatient rehab. if you can’t afford inpatient.

If you can afford an inpatient rehab its even better.

In-patient rehab is good for people who drink heavily or have drunk for a long time and are trying to quit.

This is because, it may be a good idea to have medication to help manage withdrawal effects .

The medication will help whether your at home or in rehab so you can tolerate the withdrawal effects.

Some Alcoholic Anonymous(AA) meetings in the country are held in a rehab facility, so you can conveniently visit a rehab, while you attend AA at the same time.
